The Komoda Staircase

After a bit of a break our latest blog is on the Komoda Staircase which is not too dissimilar from the Kompact staircase. In fact the only difference between the two stairs is the balustrade, the Kompact has vertical spindles whilst the Komoda has horizontal wires (this generally does not comply to UK staircase regulations).

This kit staircase comes in a width of 74 or 89cm so is perfect for those small spaces whilst retaining a feature stair feel. The going (depth of step) is adjustable on site so you can really have a play with what you want to achieve. A standard kit comprises of 13 risers but you can add up to 3 more giving you a floor to floor span up to 373cm (352cm within UK regs.), the stair can arrive in a straight run, L or U shape (this needs to be specified on the order).

The support of the kit staircase comes from a central spine which is steel powder coated, every step you have a vertical baluster which has horizontal wires running on the outside. The staircase can also come with riser bars to reduce the gap between the step to below 100mm and additional landing balustrade to protect your staircase opening up stairs. If you want to configure your own Komoda staircase please follow this link to your configurator.

The Komoda (and Kompact!!) Kit Staircase comes in a range of different colour options, the steel work can be pearl grey, white or black whilst the timber on the stair can be light or dark walnut stained. In total 6 staircase variations to choose from. If you would like more information on this kit staircase please contact the office on 01794 522 444 or go to our website.

Thank you and happy staircase hunting!!
